Do you know what I just came to realise? Donald Trump is the Garak of the real world. Garak, being a hugely likeable character, something, unfortunately, we find hard to say about Donald Trump, it is not for me to desire to hate people but he is one with a detestable character, but the two sharing a great love for telling lies. Sometimes watching Star Trek: Deep Space Nine's Garak's verbal maneuvers gives me the impression that he himself is starting to believe his own lies and thus can no longer tell truth apart from fiction. Now where does that sound echoed? Donald Trump, worryingly United States of America's President, believes his own lies, I fear. It was bad enough raising the attention of Metropolitan police, whom had to correct him on his claim that parts of London were "overrun" by Muslims, in a way meant to provoke within the gullible images of Muslims (Presumably he meant "people," as Muslims do not have a look, anyone can become a Muslim. But let's not complicate things for Donald's simplistic, racist mind.) running around with guns shooting non-Muslims (Again, how exactly does one tell whom is and is not Muslim?), this reprimand coming from an organisation that, during our most fearful days, we term "Britain's biggest criminal organisation," but now he has managed to rope GCHQ into his shenanigans by provoking a response of denial, aimed at his claim that Barack Obama used them to wiretap his office, from them. Is there no end to the lengths this man will go to to support lies no matter what, when he is supposed to be putting Americans before himself? Again and again I hear chants of "wait and see what he does before complaining." We've been patient enough already. We are not the ones pulling information out of nowhere and claiming it to be true no matter how it was born-he is an embarrassment. What a terrible situation we have. Donald Trump is U.S.A.'s President. Theresa May is our Prime Minister. And the world is tipping so hurriedly toward the right, ever stronger so with each passing year, that such a movement will soon have the globe itself turn rightwards and have us all fall off the planet if the gravity of the situation is not realised.
