It was my delight to interview the incumbent Prime Minister, Theresa May, for our upcoming autobiographical project. Before I delve deeply into just what depths we traversed together, I would like to provide you, as a preface of sorts, a small transcribing of our interview.
Theresa May: Hello, good Sir. How do you do?
Myself (Barry.): Hello, Prime Minister.
TM: You sounded awfully like Sir Humphrey just then (She chuckled.).
M: Yes...yes...you are a quick study. Glad sarcasm is not lost on you (He whispered.).
TM: I'm adamant -Theresa shifts about on her seat- that we focus on my premiership and not on my past.
M: Oh no trouble with that! None at all! No-one knew who you were yesterday!
TM: Pardon? (She attempts a weak grin.)
M: Er, no-one...knew who you really were...now that you are...PM...er, we know better, you are so much more intimate with us-no! NO scrap that! I never said that...er, bad choice of words...um, let's, let's start with you...your desire to become Prime Minister...
TM: Well, yes. You see, I never told anyone but I had, for some time, this deep and intrinsic yearning...I felt myself called...
M: That was me, telling you to collect your milk bottles.
TM: Milk?
M: I suppose you'll want them along with the milk?
TM: You're a strange interviewer (She laughed.). Can't help but think that you have me mixed up with someone else...
Another post unfinished and I shall post as is. I hope you can indeed gain something from my colourful nonsense :P I have no idea where this post was originally supposed to end.
