Lucy Hale's "Road Between" album is one of those CDs you just keep picking up to put back into the CD player. Such a moment occurred today, after having already listened to the full album against yesterday, the culmination of the two prompting me into writing this post, naturally.

Lucy has a joyful voice, excitable, pleasant and purposeful. Her lyrics are appropriately attentive and due to that naturally encouraging vibe country music is famed for, immediately upon playing the first song you know you are in for a lovely ride. I also want to talk about other aspects of the album, such as aesthetics. Standing in front of a beckoning road is the cute, peaceful, curious looking Lucy Hale herself. Lucy is another one of those names- everyone with such a name, whom you meet in any circumstance, catches your attention and brings something so positive. Alice, Megan and Claire are other names I have experienced it to also be a happy coincidence. Like those Friends, Lucy does not disappoint. Her songs are still playing in the background as I type, my CD player's speakers bringing to me words about a story still being written, a challenge that is not going to be easy and a moment being just a page in the chapter. Out of the musicians I have only recently discovered, say within the last five or so years, Lucy is perhaps one of my favourite. I really look forward to seeing what she does next. I enjoy my pop music, I enjoy Avrilesque rock. But country is always a breeze welcome and also one a little mysterious due to the relative lack of country singers in today's world. It is like when, sitting in hospital, I first heard Taylor Swift's Love Story bounce into being. While that song may be considered a cross between country and pop, there was something instantly quite charming about it. It beckoned. It asked. It requested. And it sought. When these songs find you it is memorable and right.

I have the deluxe version of her album, which contains about four extra songs, one of which is a live recording of a song.

I wrote this blog with my nominated capitalisation language, most notably capitalising "Friend." Also, I have a thing about "esque" with me preferring to ditch the hyphen but still have words near to one another. I feel the two should be a proper fusion. Each should feel free to write how they feel ok doing so, there are no truly wrong ways. Be artistic. Be you.
